Route Bus Driver Opportunity! We need at least one route driver for the 2025-26 school year. The first qualified driver will be paid $20/hour for 4 hours each school day, paid individual health insurance AND at $1000 bonus ($500 on 1st paycheck and $500 on 1 year anniversary). You must have a Class B or A CDL with school bus and passenger endorsements. We will do all the training and you will get paid for training time. A clean driving record and background check will also be necessary with a few other requirements. We always need subs and activity drivers as well. HMS Flight and Space students visited the Amelia Earhart Hangar Museum on Tuesday. The museum allows students to learn about Amelia's life and the history of her time through exhibits catering to STEM education. Interactive components allowed students to practice riveting, sit in a model cockpit like Amelia's, experience weather concepts, map stars and observe Muriel, the world’s last remaining Lockheed Electra 10-E aircraft. HMS students received high praise of their respect from the museum curators and volunteers!

Hiawatha JV baseball splits with Silver Lake. Silver Lake wins the first game 11-3. Hiawatha wins the second game 10-4.
Today, Mrs. Jacobsen's class had a special guest reader — Ms. Casey, one of our amazing school cooks and a favorite in our school community! She read Chicks and Salsa to the class, and afterwards, the students enjoyed chips and salsa as a fun themed snack. What a treat!
