The Red Hawk Forensics team would like to extend our most sincere, thank you to all of the community members, USD 415 staff, family, and friends who helped judge, run, and support the 2026 Hiawatha Red Hawk Forensics Invitational Saturday, April 11th! By hosting a meet, it allows our Red Hawks to compete one extra time during the Forensics season. (KSHSAA rules state a competitor may compete in 7 meets unless a school hosts then they can compete in 8. We do not compete in our hosted meet.) That extra meet is crucial for helping to develop our skills to ensure we place our best foot forward at state! We simply cannot thank you enough for the help. We would also like to graciously thank the USD 415 staff who allowed us the use of their spaces for our meet! We look forward to hosting again on Saturday, February 27, 2027!

Congratulations to the Red Hawk Forensic team who placed 1st out of 14 teams at the Sabetha Invitational Monday night! Senior Israel Ross placed 6th in Serios Solo Acting (SSA) and placed 6th in Improvised duet acting with partner Tyson LeMay! Senior Gus Smith placed 6th in Original Oratory, 5th in informative and 2nd in impromptu speech qualifying him for stage champs. Sophomore Tyson LeMay placed 6th in Improvised duet acting with partner Israel Ross. 6th place in impromptu speech and 1st place in Humorous Solo Acting qualifying him for state champs! Sophomore Timothy Mowry placed 3rd in Program of Oral Interpretation (POI). Freshman Ella Olson placed 1st in Extemporaneous Speech Qualifying her for state champs. We are very placed to state that the entire team is state qualified many in multiple events! Congratulations to the Lady Red Hawks for splitting with Riley County last night on the new turf field! They beat RC in the 2nd of a double header 11-3. Great job Red Hawks!

Congratulations to the Red Hawk Forensics team who competed at the Big East League Forensics meet in Sabetha on Thursday! The team placed fourth overall, an extremely impressive feat when many of the teams had double of the entries of our Red Hawks. It really is a testament to the hard work and talent of the entire Red Hawk Forensics team. Congratulations to senior Israel Ross who placed second in Prose and third in Poetry. Congratulations to senior Ashley Moraleda who placed third in informative speech. Congratulations to sophomore Rachel Philips who placed fourth in Prose qualifying her for state champs. Congratulations to freshman Ella Olson, who placed third in program of oral interpretation. We are very pleased to announce that the entire team is now state qualified. Several in multiple events and the hope is to get a few more entries under our belt before state in May. It is an amazing accomplishment for the entire team and we’re extremely proud of them! Dear USD 415 Family,

As we announced this morning, one of our bus drivers experienced a medical emergency while driving a bus route. He was able to stop the bus and pull to the side of a gravel road prior to becoming non-responsive. I have no doubt that his quick action ensured the safety of his three passengers.

Barry Schuetz passed away at Sabetha Community Hospital. We ask that you keep his wife, Vickie and his daughter, Carolyn in your thoughts and prayers.

Congratulations to the Red Hawk Forensics team who preformed Friday at Washington County placing 6th overall all and again on Saturday at Riverside placing 5th overall all! Friday Night Senior Israel Ross placed 1st in Prose and POI (Program of Oral Interpretation) and 6th in Poetry.
