Congratulations to the Hiawatha Red Hawk Forensics team who took 6th Place out of 17 teams Saturday at the ACCHS Talking Tiger Invitational. We had a small but might squad in competition today and each team member showed improvement! Lyle Simmons placed 6th in prose qualifying him for state festival. Duet team Eli Hoschouer & Olivia Hawks placed 3rd! Lyle Simmons & Tatum Vaughan placed 6th in Duet. Eli Hoschouer placed 3rd Im Humorous Solo acting (HSA) Olivia Hawks placed 4th in Program of Oral Interpretation (POI). Remmy Killman placed 5th in Program of Oral Interpretation (POI). Once again well done to the entire team who shared their talent today! Each member contributes points to our over all score & we would not be successful without them! Congratulations to the Hiawatha Headliners for competing in the 3A division at the Platte County Showcase of Excellence Show Choir Competition! The group had a full day of watching 18 other schools compete as well as having a clinic with one of the judges so that they can improve their show. JAG-K students competed today in Kansas City at the Region 3 Career Development Conference. Placing first was Paige Mueller in Employability Skills and Hayden Brown in Career Preparation. Placing second was Anthony Anderson in Financial Literacy and Creative Decision group of- Amarya Edie, Lyle Simmons and Felix McCartney. All 6 students will be traveling to McPherson on March 22nd to compete at the state level. Hiawatha placed 2nd overall out of 16 programs. Amarya Edie and Hayden Brown were also selected to be Region 3 officers.

If you are going to the games anyway then you could get paid to go, get into the games free (home games too) and get paid while you are there. . We also need substitute drivers for our bus routes. . A Class B or A CDL with School Bus & Passenger endorsements is required. All training is provided and paid for by USD 415. . Starting pay is $20/hour for drive time and $10/hour for layover/sit time. .
