The Hiawatha Elementary School received a upgrade today! Not only do these window murals help show off our Red Hawk Pride, they also help keep our students safe! We absolutely love the new look! #HESRedHawks

Yesterday HES traveled to HHS to celebrate nearly 600 Hawk Blocks earned as a school! Hawk blocks are earned by students showing positive behavior and character skills. Once they reach 36 Hawk Blocks in a classroom they receive a reward as a class. When we hit big mile stones as a school we do an all school reward. Student & staff enjoyed listing to the Red Hawk Band and their dinos, enjoyed cheering with the Red Hawk Cheerleaders, and watching the Hawketts dance! Thank you HHS for having us! Congratulations again JR Hawks we are so proud of your amazing Red Hawk Character!

Bus Driver needed for a morning and afternoon route ASAP.
Starting pay is $20/hour with all expenses paid to acquire your CDL with proper endorsements and training.
We are always hiring activity and substitute drivers as well.

1. What does it cost to get my CDL with the proper endorsements?
· USD 415 pays ALL expenses related to acquiring your Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with the school bus and passenger endorsements.
2. What does the Entry Level Driver Training cost?
· USD 415 offers paid training and we cover the cost of the training materials.
3. What about the bad behavior of the students on the bus?
· The bus driver is in charge on the bus and if there are problems there is a system in place to address any situation of discipline needed.
The Hiawatha Headliners will be hosting their annual Songfest fundraiser on October 2nd at 5 pm! Come and enjoy homemade soups and desserts made by our awesome team of parents, listen to our talented group of students perform, and participate in our dessert auction. Tickets are $10 so find a Headliner member to purchase from or you can purchase one at the door! #HHsRedHawks

7th and 8th grade flight and space class practiced flying drones this week. We learned the basics of a quadcopter, flight controls, forces of flight and ways we use drones. Our task included trying to land a drone on the target. #HMSRedHawks
