Because Congress did not extend federal school meal waivers, school meals will no longer be available to ALL students free of charge effective at the start of the 2022-2023 school year. Households may complete an Application for Free or Reduced Price School Meals during the 2022-2023 enrollment process or online at https://schoolmealsapp.ksde.org/Home/welcome/D0415. Paper copies are also available at all district offices. Only students with approved applications will receive free or reduced price meals for the 2022-2023 school year. Families who do not qualify for free meals will be responsible for paying for their child(ren)'s meals at reduced or paid rates. If you have any questions, please stop by enrollment at Hiawatha Middle School on Wednesday August 3 from 11am-7pm or Thursday August 4 from 8am-4pm.

Bus route information will be sent by email this year & it will go to the email address on file with the school & should be sent by August 12 or sooner. If your student(s) didn’t ride the bus last year you can email buses@usd415.org & provide your students names & address information.

And that's a wrap for HMS summer school. We saw gains in so many areas and could t be prouder of our students for working hard. This week was science week so we made storms in a bottle, did a walking water experiment and colored flowers. We ended the week with Bounce Houses from TJ's bounce house and a bbq. A huge shout out to the Ag Partners crew for providing and grilling the hotdogs and Hiawatha Creamery for donating the most delicious ice cream. We appreciate all your support! #hmsredhawks

USD 415 is in need of route bus drivers for the fall. A Class "B" or "A" CDL with the school bus and passenger endorsements is required and we will supply the study guide and paid training will be provided at no cost to you.
