JAG-K students, Karin Moorhous, Braydon Griswold, Sheridan Jones, and Tatum Vaughan attended JAG-K Day at the Capitol on Thursday, February 10th. Approximately 300 JAG students from across the state attended this event. Governor Laura Kelly met with the State Career Association members, which included our own Karin Moorhous, where the governor signed the JAG-K Proclamation. Students toured the Capitol and were able to watch part of a trial in the Supreme Court. Students were also able to go on the Senate floor and watch as bills were being proofread. Our Hiawatha students also met with Senator Pyle and were able to ask many questions. Senator Pyle spent almost 40 minutes with our students. Thank you Karin, Braydon, Sheridan, and Tatum for representing Hiawatha High School at the Capitol.
