Congratulations to the Red Hawk Forensics Team (Speech & Drama Competition Team) who competed Saturday, March 7, 2026 at the ACCHS Talking Tiger Invitational placing 3rd over all. Senior Israel Ross placed 3rd in Poetry, Prose and POI (Program of oral Interpretation). Senior Gus Smith placed 3rd in extemporaneous speech qualifying him for State Champs. Gus also placed 6th in informative speech. Senior Ashley Moraleda placed 3rd in informative speech. Sophomore Timothy Mowry placed 6th in Prose. Freshman Ella Olson placed 1st in POI qualifying her for state champs as well as placing 1st in Prose. The team also won the side quest shamrock hunt. Current Team State Champs Qualifications: Ashley Moraleda in Informative Speech Ella Olson In Prose & POI Gus Smith Extemporaneous Speech Israel Ross Prose, Poetry & POI Timothy Mowry Prose & Poetry Tori Tawzer POI Current Team State Festival Qualifications: Chance Rudder in Impromptu Speech The team competes next on March 27th at Washington County High School. We need activity drivers and sub route drivers with the potential for a regular route, if interested, in the future. Starting pay is $20/hour. You must have a Class B or A CDL with school bus and passenger endorsements. We will do all the training and you will get paid for training time. We will help you in every way possible with licensing. A clean driving record and background check will also be necessary with a few other requirements. Congratulations to Jeanie Wege, HHS Ag teacher! Mrs. Wege was awarded the Golden Owl award today! She is one of seven awards presented in the state. Congratulations to Mrs. Wege!
