Congratulations to the Red Hawk Forensics Team who competed against 14 teams at the Clay Center Invitational Today! Four of our dedicated team members were able to attend and showed that they were Red Hawk Ready earning enough overall points to place 6th!
Congratulations to seniors Gavin Noll and Tori Wist, who placed second in impromptu diet acting (IDA) qualifying them both for state champs
Tori Wist also placed first in Prose as well as first in program of oral interpretation (POI) both qualify her for state Champs! Making her the second team member to “fill their dance card” for state champs!
Congratulations to Gavin Noll who also placed 6th in original oratory. Gavin also did very well in prose and we are sure that he will soon break for state champs in that category.
Congratulation to senior Lexys Ruch who placed sixth in program of oral interpretation (POI) she also had a very strong showing in prose in poetry with brand new pieces.
Congratulations to Remmy Killman who had his best scores so far of the season. He barely missed out on breaking to finals in POI and we are sure that we will see him there soon!
Five out of the 11 team members are state championship qualified. Multiple of those members are qualified in more than one event. We could not be prouder!

My career pathway is music education. It is frustrating at times but very rewarding. What makes me so passionate about the teaching profession is seeing the students be proud about their amount of knowledge. I love watching their eyes light up when they understand a concept. Getting to watch the students learn music and understand it means so much to me especially when I am teaching them.
I wanted to become a music teacher because of the amazing music teachers I’ve had over years. As well as my other teachers helping me discover what I wanted to do. Overall I want to be able to teach a language that is universal and doesn’t need words to understand.
Mrs. Jacobsen and Miss B's class have been learning about adjectives. To put their knowledge into practice, the students wrote kind adjectives to describe their classmates. This was such a fun activity!
