Spirit Tunnel for the Red Hawks! Let's help get HHS off to a great start in the game tonight. Meet at the east end of the bleachers at 6:45 to show the boys your support & cheer them on to victory. We will create a tunnel to run through & enter the field with Red Hawk Pride.
Please join us in congratulating our next recipient of our Red Hawk Hero Award at HES! The Red Hawk Hero goes to someone in our building who exemplifies the characteristics of a hero! Chrissy Torkelson is our recipient! Chrissy has been a huge help to me every day at lunch time. She is willing to do anything that needs to be done. She sweeps the floor, wipes the tables, assists the students with anything they need and anything else she sees that needs attention. I have seen her in the hallway and how kind she is to the students and she always has a smile on her face. She has been a wonderful addition to HES. I’m so thankful for her and all the help she provides! Please join me in congratulating Chrissy!!

HES had a roaring Red Hawk Homecoming welcome this morning as students entered the building!! Hiawatha High School football players and cheerleaders brought the energy to kick off a great day!! Today is National PTO Appreciation Day! HES would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of the parents who play a role in our PTO. Students at HES were greeted by members of Amberwell Health this morning! Students learned how tall they have to be before riding in a car without a booster seat!! Big thanks to Brooklyn Scheutz and Amberwell Radiology for allowing our 8th grade STEM class to come tour today! Students gained basic knowledge of the role of this department in different imaging services and careers involved and saw how impactful X-rays and CT scans can be!
