Work Based Learning is an important part of JAG-K. Students decide a career that they are interested in and then partner with a local employer to job shadow. Students are required to fill out an application and go through an interview with the employer. This helps students gain an understanding of what that process looks like and helps to practice the skills along with fine tuning them.
We have students that leave the school and input their work into the different careers they have chosen. Senior Felix McCartney and Junior Jose Valencia are going to McCartney Auto Body. Both attend their job sites on separate days and are putting in quality work and learning a lot.
Mrs. Blanton and Mrs. Jacobsen’s classes had to help solve the MISSING CASE of Mrs. Dierenfeldt!! They were called to come observe and take notes of everything they saw in her office. They then took those notes and the interviews of the suspects to draw conclusions to who was guilty. They found Mrs. Hanf GUILTY!! Great work, fourth grade!!
