Hiawatha Middle School Retake Picture Day is 11/02/2023! If you're satisfied with your child's picture, no further action is required. If you purchased and were unhappy with your Picture Package, please send your Picture Package to school with your student on Retake Day. Your Retake Picture Package will be produced and shipped to the school four weeks after Retake Day. Please note, if your child is photographed on the original and Retake Picture Days, the Retake picture will replace the original picture in certain products, like the yearbook. Congratulations to senior Jordan Hodge and freshman Pauly Rockey. They earned a trip to the State meet taking place at Rim Rock next Saturday. Jordan placed third and Pauly placed 4th. Most classroom teachers at HES are now trained in Capturing Kids Hearts, which is a Flip Flippen program that promotes relational capacity and self managing students. Yesterday at HES all students came together to create a building wide, social contract. This contract uses keywords or phrases from each classroom’s social contract. It describes how students want to be treated, how they will treat each other, how they will treat adults, and how they deal with conflict. we discussed where this contract will be implemented, how students will be held accountable, and what happens if the social contract is broken.
